By Daniel Escobedo Men are like everything other than what Venus says. We love to get attention and to be loved. Those are the two main principles needed to make a guy happy. Every man has his own views about what makes him particularly happy and feeling loved, but it is the same basic principle. Every guy needs attention. One of the most important things to a guy is feeling like he is the only guy in the world. Here’s an example: A woman tells her loved one, “Honey, you make the greatest roast beef in the world! I bet you can give Chef Gordon Ramsay from Hell’s Kitchen a run for his money.” See? Was that so hard? Most people can do it; why not try it, women? This has to be done literally on a daily basis. Simple strokes of a man’s ego boosts his confidence and makes him willing to do anything that he puts his mind to. Why do you think they say behind every man there is a strong woman? Just for fun? No, because it’s true. So make this a big priority if you want your man happy and content. The next thing is making us feel loved. Of course, many different people have many different ways of expressing love. Yet I believe this makes all men happy: a kind and caring attitude. Many women do this; many still do not. Why? Do you think men do not like to know you care? On the contrary, we want to know! If the guy works every day for eight hours and comes home tired and you still want him to cook, that is a big no-no! What kind of a caring woman are you? Even if your loved one loves to cook, I bet he would appreciate it if you made him dinner once in a while. It shows you cared enough to lighten his load and felt he was worthy of a hot meal from you. Some women might let their love kill himself for them. However, I bet they would have a hard time replacing him once he leaves for someone else who is much more kind and caring! As someone once told me, “I wouldn’t mind if they did nothing all day but still showed me how much they loved me when I came home. That would make it all worthwhile.” Now isn’t that what men want? Certainly! So next time you think men are just some type of animal with only sex on his brain, think back on my words. I bet you they are more true than the discussions you have had with your girlfriends. COMMENTS: |

By Maryellen Wheatley All women really want is a man who will rub our feet, cook us dinner, shower us with chocolates and flowers, and peel our grapes; so basically we are stuck waiting until bioengineering allows for such a man to be created. But in the meantime, men, please read this article and pay close attention. Contrary to popular belief, we are not impossible to please, and the way you treat your lady has a direct effect on the happiness level of the relationship. We don’t really expect you guys to form into relationship superstars, however, we would like it if you held the door for us; but do it because you are trying to be a gentleman, not just so you have an excuse to check out our backsides when we aren’t looking. Also, please remember the date of our anniversary; we like to think that you feel the day your life changed for the better is worth remembering. Plus, the two minutes it takes to set up an email reminder will save you two plus years of torture and pain for forgetting. Keep in mind that you don’t own us. Relationships are kind of like “at will” employment. If you don’t perform up to standards, we can and will replace you with someone who does. We are under no obligations to stay with you. Men are not so outnumbered on this planet that we will latch on and never let go for fear we will never find another one. There is a competitive market out there. To stay ahead, it is good practice to cook us dinner, very often. Being our personal chef will score you extra points, and throwing in dessert may just solidify your position. And if you are looking for other ways of getting ahead, please do refer back to the first sentence and abide by it. Mars, it is my suggestion that you go out of your way to treat women like princesses, because bioengineering will be perfected soon enough and there is no sense in losing a perfectly good woman to a much younger man.
