Showcase at Springfield presents seniors’ hard work

Jan. 25 was the Senior Class Gallery Showcase at the Robert Morris College Gallery in downtown Springfield. The showcase displayed work that the senior class produced throughout their time at RMC.

The showcase opened to cold wind gusts and freezing temperatures, but it was welcomed with a warm reception, including faculty members, students and art lovers alike.

These boots aren’t made for walking so take care of your car!

It’s February and the bitter, biting cold of winter is heavy upon us. Just being outside for ten minutes is chore enough; the last thing we want to worry about is our cars. We drive them all around our great cities, we take them to school and work in the heat or cold, and we don’t typically bring them in for a visit with Dr. Meineke until something is wrong with them.

Rune Factory: A fantasy Harvest Moon blends farming and fighting monsters in one

Harvest Moon is a game that has been cherished since its inception. Natsume, the company behind Harvest Moon, has always followed a very strict formula and only made slight changes to each new edition of the game. However, the latest edition of Harvest Moon ignores this and takes the game in an entirely new direction.

Instead of just farming and being friends with the townsfolk, now you explore caves and fight monsters. This mix of farming and fighting monsters makes the game more interesting than past editions.

The time of year when people celebrate Valentine’s Day is coming upon us. Men give flowers and gifts to the lucky women and women give cards and kisses to the men. I have fond memories of this date but I strongly believe that this holiday should not be celebrated.

Everyone should celebrate Valentine’s Day – those who love the opposite sex, those who hate the opposite sex, single people, married people—even scrooges like you, Mars. As a matter of fact, in honor of Valentine’s Day, I’m not even going to man-hate this month.

Q&A with soccer player Erik Bullock

Q: How long have you been playing soccer?
A: Three years. I started playing at age 20 in 2005.

Q: What made you decide to start playing soccer?
A: My friends were big soccer players and they talked me into it. Then Robert Morris offered me a scholarship and I couldn’t turn it down.

Q: How many seasons have you played with Robert Morris?
A: Two seasons. This will be my third.
