Staff Writer:
Good story-telling and writing skills are a must. You must be able to interview people and understand the basics of writing. Newspaper experience is preferred but not necessary. Submit good quality photographs that go along with each article by the submission deadline.
Write a headline for each article submitted (subject-verb-object) and write a caption for each photograph submitted. Staff members are required to attend all meetings and respond to e-mail messages in a timely manner. The required amount of articles each month can vary from 2 to 3. During layout meetings writers are to be present and assist with layout. Writers are expected to follow journalistic standards and code of ethics.
